Mary's Litany

As a loving mother,  Mary never turns her Son’s children away, or permits anything to threaten them which is harmful to their souls. 

Listen, my dear little son.  Do not be troubled or weighed down with grief.  Do not fear any illness or vexation, anxiety or pain.  Am I not here who am your Mother?  Are you not under my shadow and protection?  Am I not your fountain of life?  Are you not in the folds of my mantle?  In the crossing of my arms?  Is there anything else you need?

Whoever greets Mary lovingly will be greeted by her, and her greeting is a special grace that she grants every time.

Who can there be in the world who refuses to love this most amiable Queen?  She is more beautiful than the sun, and  sweeter than honey.  She is a treasure of goodness, amiable and courteous to all. (12)  St. Bonaventure

This loving Mother has so earnest a desire to do good to all, that not only is she offended by those who positively outrage her (as some are wicked enough to do), but she is offended at those who do not ask her for favors or graces. (14)  St. Bonaventure

O Lady, pray for me, ask for the graces I require with greater devotion than I can dare to ask for them; and you will obtain far greater graces from God for me than I can presume to seek. (21)  St. Alphonsus de Liguori

O Queen of heaven, Mother of holy love! Since you are the most amiable of creatures, the most beloved of God, and his greatest lover, be pleased to allow the most miserable sinner living in this world, who, having by your means been delivered from hell, and without any merit on his part has been so benefited by you, is filled with your love to love you. The Queen of Heaven is so gracious and liberal, that she recompenses her servants with the greatest munificence for the most trifling devotions.  The first condition is that when we offer her our devotions our souls should be free from serious sin; the second is perseverance in devotion to Mary.
