Christmas Music. . .

Mary Introduction

Beautiful music comes from the very heart of man.  It reflects the happiness, joy, sadness, yearnings, desires of the soul, and lifts the mind to desire, to create and to accomplish goals noble in nature and purpose.  Music is a fitting way to come to a closer union with God.  The music of Christmas tells of the circumstances surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ.  We celebrate the event by which God came to dwell on earth as an infant born in a lowly stable.  The event was announced to the world by Angels to the nearby shepherds as they tended their sheep.  Christmas music recalls the heavenly announcement that man's redemption was at hand; the Savior had been born, the old covenants between God and man entered into throughout man's history were completed and fulfilled as man was lifted by God to himself in an act of love by the very God who came to live among us.  Joy to the world, the Lord has come!
